About Me

I used to be cute, but marriage and babies have aged the shit out of me.  I avoid mirrors (and all reflective surfaces) and any place that I may run into another person.  I am a magazine and a book whore, and am allergic to all things related to nature and fitness. Don’t you just want to hold me?

You are so cute & honest. I love your view on motherhood and the way we reflect on ourselves. It is so true, I avoid the mirrors and most of the clothes that I would have loved 4 years ago.

    Great blog!
We have a whole lot in common.
I used to be cute, too. The kids have made me insane and I leave the house wearing unclean clothes and slippers and don’t really care any more.
    I miss my life.
I’m not a pack rat. I purge. I toss everything in the garbage. Baby clothes – sell them at the thrift shop. If they don’t take I don’t every season. Why? I hate stuff.
Stop by my blog – I think you’ll like it.

Ha! I think you are speaking the truth for the majority of mom’s in the world, and thanks for doing so! ;)

    I love your honesty!

I’ve been married 14+ years and have 3 kids (inc. a set of twins).

A few months ago, I found some old pictures from high school and college at my mom’s house. I was thumbing through them with a smile on my face.

My mom said, “What are you doing?”

I said, “Oh, just looking at pictures of myself when I was pretty and skinny.”

She said, “Well. You’re still pretty.”

    :)

    Hi there,

Love your blog and I did get a tear when I read the “note” story :o )
If you are a book whore as you proclaim, take a look at my website http://www.rentreadreturn.com – it might interest you. I am a mompreneur living in London, ON trying to get the word out about my business. The site is an online book rental service (the only one in Canada), and it works like a “Netflix” for books – you make a list of the books you want and we send them to your door. There is no contract, no late fees or library wait lists, and free shipping – and it costs about the same as buying one new book a month. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think!!

    Take care,
    Amoreena
